Hancock to celebrate new Gig Town status at ribbon cutting on Aug. 15
Join us to celebrate the newly completed all-fiber network at the Hancock Farmer's Market
HANCOCK, N.H. - Aug. 15, 2024 - Community members and local leaders will celebrate the completion the all-fiber network in Hancock, and the town's new status as a Gig Town during the the Hancock Farmer's Market on Thursday, Aug. 15.
Gig Town designations are presented to communities with broad access to multi-gigabit fiber internet for residents and businesses, which connects communities to wide ranging benefits - economic, educational, employment, entertainment and more - that accompany better internet access.
The celebration will include remarks by community leaders, including the Hancock Telecommunications Committee, as well as Consolidated Communications and the Greater Monadnock Collabroative. Following the certificate presentation and ribbon cutting, Fidium representatives will be on hand as a part of the Farmer's Market to share more about the life-changing power of fiber internet.
